COLLABORATIONS
A seminal experience in John Maggio's development as an artist was the education and training he received in 1971 at Tamarind Institute, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Funded by a Ford Foundation Grant, the program trained individuals in the art of lithography. The program provided highly specialized training in the lithographic printmaking process. Individuals who completed the two-year program received the designation, Tamarind Master Printer. The end result of this training was a series of collaborations with artists of national and international stature. Maggio has had numerous collaborations over the years with artists who have had a profound influence on his own development as an artist. Following is a list of artists that collaborated with John Maggio in the making of a lithographic print. |
